The quad bike has been kept outside for most of the last 9 years and, although covered, it does have rust spots on the wheels and handlebars. Since picking it up recently, I have: Replaced the battery Replaced the spark plug Changed the oil Re-covered the seat The quad bike works perfectly including the lights. It is automatic with one forward and one reverse gear. It comes complete with the original manual, socket kit and key (see photo). It has never been raced and it has only been driven on flat land and has never been jumped. This quad is in fantastic condition and has been well cared and looked after. But the quad bike is having a minor disfunction at the moment, which is very easy to fix and little expense. the problem with the bike is to do with the drum where the drive belt is and needs new parts inside, it still runs and starts perfectly fine but has trouble reaching its top speed quickly. The quad has a yosimura exhaust with removable baffle (which sounds great left out), full yoshimura frame guard, suspension arm plating, Nurf bars and rear grab handle .HID headlamp kit fitted which is great for night time riding.I am the 3rd owner of this quad and it is great fun to ride and gets good attention where ever you are.It has just had new Talon chain and rear sprocket, New spark plug and choke cable. I also have various receipts for new wheel bearings and other parts.It has also just had a new speedo as the old unit failed due to water ingress. have owned it since 6months old and bought it from a friend who had bought it new.After lots of fun on the buggy the engine became very unreliable and stripped teeth in the gear box,which anyone who knows anything about these buggys will tell you is very common!Putting it down to bad luck i bought a brand new xinling engine and gear box and within months it had done exactly the same thing again,thats where the project began... We removed standard engine and gearbox and i bought a yamaha xs250,we serviced engine with new plugs,points,oils,etc,got it running nice then removed from bike. Made the sub frame in the buggy a couple of inches longer so we could mount yamaha engine in and so the sprockets would be running the right way round as before they where pushing rather than pulling.Made custom engine mounts around top and bottom of engine for added support and to mount coils on top,back axle was lathed and new sprocket was put on.Obviously the buggy was auto when standard because they had used a big scooter engine so we had to put gear linkage and a clutch cable running to front of buggy,which proved very difficult because we had to run it through the moving swinging arm so nothing could be on straight rods.My friend who is a bit of a whiz adapted gear linkage from a van which would move and after a few attempts got it spot on X

arrived at our Ayrshire Centre (KA6 6EZ) is this 2005 Yamaha Bruin 250. This machine is as it arrived and is starts from the button and is running, selecting all gears as it should (forward and reverse) and generally does what it should. It is overdue a service and will be needing things like brakes looked over etc... It, in general, is not a bad little ATV, and for someone who is willing to give it a service etc.. it will continue to be a good little workhorse for many years to come. The plastics aren`t brilliant and show stress marks and a couple of cracks, but the price reflects for sure. has hardly been used at all. It is imaculate, no scratches on the engine cases / plastics It is standard and has not been mucked about or raced. It has alley nerf bars and shock protectors. I have had it serviced and it is ready to go. It is registered as an agricultural vehicle so no MOT required and free road tax ! You can ride it on a car liceience with no lid if you want, so its great fun. Being honest the rear tyres are about half worn (probably the original ones) and one of the rear rims has a small dent in it, which was there when I bought it. the triz tank as its a a vacuum pump would start no problem with a bump and run no problem but wouldent start off the kick i have put a reserve tank on straight to the carb and it starts first or second kickthe quad has had the following done 5 months agopowdercoated frame and swingarm/linkage,stering collum,rear brake pedal etc new throttle and clutch cables 2 new front tyres full engine rebuild,new seat cover &graphicsnew brake pads all roundall trakrod ends bushes and bearings are all tight and have no playrear shock rebuild costing £80 new statorplate and flywheelnew nerf barsengine brackets made to fit original mounts so could be changed back to original engine bad points needs fuel pipes put back on properly for vacuum pump and set up properly or a gravity fed tank put on where the dummy fuel tank isheadstock has been welded on at top will take pics and put them onback tyres have 5mm of tread left will last a whileframe has been buffed to allow kickstart to go right down can be seen in pics needs an air filter put on as previous owner couldent fiind the k&n for itthe floats in carb need adjusted due to fuel overflowing from overflow pipei have been as honest as i can .i took this on as a project but have to meany project at the moment and need the cash to finish the others will accept offers and i will add a b X
