It`s a pull start,Four stroke,four speed semi automatic gearbox,which means there is no clutch.When your child is learning to ride for the first time,all you do is put it in first gear and leave it there until he get used to it,then as their confidence grows you can keep speeding up a gear at a time.My 6 year old son loved it,and took to it straight away and within a couple of months he was happily changing gear along with doing doughnuts and drifts all over the place.(Hence the lack of tread on the rear tyres!!) The quad has all the right safety gear as standard,Leg guards,chain guards,heat shields, rear foot brake,as well as a front and rear brakes on the handle bars,and also a hand brake which is useful when transporting it around. The quad is in really good condition all round,and still looks really tidy.everything works just as it should,it runs as sweet as a nut,all day long and in any weather.It`s has had regular servicing by myself,and has always been washed and lubricated after every ride.The bike has been used and so does show the usual wear and tear signs as in bush marks and scratches on the plastics,but they are all intact and straight. and not abused like most. It hasnt been tarted up in any way and is a very honest clean quad. Its been used for pelleting and spraying and still has the speed and distance computer fitted, but hasnt seen great amounts of use and has been dry stored whenever its not been used which always helps keep them in great condition. We had it checked over and the cv joints are great as are any uj`s. The engine runs really nice and starts on the button straight away.This quad also has a backup kickstarter but this is never used as the electric start works fine. The gearbox is excellent and all operates fine. The quad also has a working electric fuel gauge, and all the electrics work on the quad including headlights and tail lights. The high beam headlight on the handlebars can be demounted and used as a portable work lamp as it has a long cable of a some metres when detached which is a genuine honda addition and is great for lambing season.The seatcover is in great condition with no rips or tears. The suspension is great and all the shocks are still gassed up. all the steering joints are fine with no play. The tyres havent got any puntures.Also has a towbar. it there was a problem with carb and had it replaced for new at £300. When i bought the quad it had just had new tyres fitted and have over 95% life. It is extremely reliable and starts on the button every time. The engine is good condition and does not blow any smoke. All the gears are working and this model has a reverse gear. Please note this is the 2-wheel drive version. The seat has a small rip but overall in good condition,the front and rear brakes are working as normal. The quoke cable jammed need replacing so take longer to warm up from cold start. The quad is overall good condition not mint! because of the job it does. as new .its a copy of a HONDA GY6 engine so i am informed and it is fully automatic with front brake drums and rear disc brake,front lights with hi and low beam and rear lights with a brake light. you can lock either front or rear brakes on the handlebars for safety.you can also restrict the throttle movement to reduce speed. automatic choke comes with two keys,tool kit and instruction manual. adult / teen sized, you are bidding on the red quad but i have included pictures of it in different colours available. look for yourselves dont take my word for it type in GY6 engine into ebay or on the internet and you will find all spare parts available at prices so cheap you wont believe.so ignore the worry mongers and grab a new quad at consideribly less than the second hand price of a more well known japanese or chinese quad. very economical to run and not to heavy or big to load onto a trailer or van to take to somewhere to ride. could possibly be put onto the road but i have not the time. cash on collection is prefered but could be delivered by prior arangement with payment first. These things are bulletproof and never once have we had any problems. It was originally owned by a farmer and is fitted with electrics for a sprayer, although the sprayer is not included. Please note this is the 2-wheel drive version. We have recently have had the front and rear suspension overhauled with new top ball joints fitted, and suspension bushes. The seat has been recovered and new handlebar grips have been fitted. The plastics have cracked over the years but have recently been repaired by stitching with red cable ties and are now very strong (see picture). The red plastics have faded slightly where they are most prone to direct sunlight. All the lights work and the tyres still have plenty of tread left. The front and rear brakes are working as normal. The oil and filter has just been changed and a new spark plug fitted. Unfortunately the LCD dashboard does not fully work; there is no LCD display but the gear selector, ignition ‘on` indicator, reverse indicator all still work plus the panel is illuminated when the lights are on work. We are not sure if this is a simple repair or not. It does not affect the performance / usability of the bike in any way, so we never investigated a fix. Please feel free to ask any qu X
